The
world's widest rectilinear lens for full frame is here & surprise,
surprise (read sarcasm) it is by LAOWA.
Laowa
by Venus Optics have taken it upon themselves to keep innovating and
come up with some super niche yet not super expensive optics.
Following
the launch of some very innovative optics like,
Laowa
24mm f/14 2X Macro Probe
Laowa
12mm T2.9 Zero D Cine
Laowa
Magic Shift Converter (MSC), etc
Laowa
have now innovated with yet another worlds first, the widest full frame
rectilinear lens.
Laowa
9mm f/5.6 FF RL
Yes
you read that correct, 9mm rectilinear on a full frame with an
remarkable 135°
angle of view. This one of a kind lens allows you to capture
landscape images with ease and realise formerly impossible shots. The
lens includes 2 aspherical elements and 2 extra-low dispersion
elements to suppress chromatic aberrations and distortion to the
minimum.
Despite
the one-of-a-kind perspective, the lens itself is super compact (2.4″
/ 6cm long) and weigh only 12.3 oz. / 350 g. It also features an
extremely close focusing distance of 4.72″ / 12cm (from subject to
sensor) for photographers to create mini macro shots with ultra-wide
perspective.
Following
are some of the images captured using this lens
